A Professional Agrologist with over 30 years of experience in Canada’s agricultural sector. Past President of the Agricultural Institute of Canada and receipt of the HD McRorie Recognition Award for contributing to the development of agrology in Manitoba. Kim is an experienced trainer and facilitator. Her experience in the hemp and cannabis sector includes co-authoring the first online hemp production guide, building Canada’s hemp association to over 500 members strong. Her work has provided the opportunity to represent Canadian agriculture on the international stage.

Dr. Silvia T. Cardona is a Professor and the Associate Head (Graduate Affairs) in the Department of Microbiology at the University of Manitoba.
Dr. Cardona is passionate about research and mentoring the next generation of scientists. In 2017, Dr. Cardona achieved a Faculty of Science Best Mentor Award, thanks to the nominations she received from current and previous trainees.
